Scripture Memory

One of my hopes for this blog is to support one another to memorize scripture weekly. After all, God's Word is our greatest weapon against the attacks of Satan! My starting goal is to memorize one verse a week. That is definitely doable, am I right? I hope you will join me in this rewarding process! Let's fill our minds with the Word of Truth so that we can defeat the lies that constantly bombard us. Are you ready to fight back? You can do this!

Week 1 of November
"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary , but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18

What a great reminder of what is truly valuable in life. Let's keep our focus where it should be! Don't let the enemy distract you - that is one of his favorite weapons. And is it ever easy to get distracted in our culture! Perspective is everything so remember, this life is temporary. 

Week 2 of November
"Do nothing out of selfish ambition and vain conceit, rather in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others." Philippians 2:3-4

We are not very useful to the Kingdom when we are focused completely on ourselves. No wonder our enemy so desperately wants us to be self-focused! Use this verse as a weapon to combat that lie. Don't let the enemy rob you of the chance to fulfill your calling. Remember: our purpose is to live for Him, not ourselves!

Week 3 and 4 of November 
"I sought the Lord and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who seek the Lord are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame." Psalm 34:4-5

Let's strive to be radiant from the inside-out! I don't know about you, but I'm tired of walking around hanging my head and full of shame. Let's seek him and be delivered from this burden of shame and worthlessness! It's time to be confident and radiant in Him.
